Online form for Child Dependent (applying outside UK)

Post by sk13aaa » Sun Nov 14, 2021 12:48 pm

Hello everyone,

I'm a British Citizen by Naturalisation. Planning to apply visa for my wife and son to join me. They are in India. I went thru another similar post and found the link below:

https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... 1636663951

1) Appendix FM Partner
2) Appendix FM Child

I went thru the Appendix FM Partner link and I couldn't find a way to append my son's details with the same application.

Questions:
1) Do I need to fill in a separate Appendix FM Child application for my son?
2) If so, do I need to provide two separate sets of documents?
3) Is there a way to link both applications?

Please advise.

Note: Moderators, I'm unable to login in with my other account. I tried to reset my password but it dint work. so created a new one. Request you not to freeze this account.

Thanks,

Fill Appendix FM Partner and Appendix Child separately. You can include the reference number from your wife into your child's application form.

It's fine as long as it was valid when you apply. Have you tried to renew the passport before you apply?

Spouse visa - documents - originals or soft copy?

Post by sk13aaa » Tue Dec 14, 2021 10:52 pm

Hello everyone,

I'm planning to apply spouse visa for my family in India.

I have collected the last 6 months bank statement, 6 months pay slips and letter from employer mentioning my salary, position and the payslips are genuine.

My wife will be applying from India. Do I need to send these original documents to India for my wife to have it during the VFS appointment? or is it ok to upload the scanned copy to the portal?

Please advise.

Thanks,

Child dependent - Consent letter

Post by sk13aaa » Sat Dec 25, 2021 7:37 pm

I'm a British Citizen by Naturalisation. Planning to apply visa for my wife and son to join me. They are in India now.

My son and wife were in the UK earlier as my dependent between 2015 and 2019. My wife went to India in 2019 and her visa got expired.

While filling my son's application online (Appendix FM Child), it is mentioned a consent letter from parent(s) has to be submitted with the application. I'm providing his birth certificate as a part of the application where my name and my wife's name (travelling with him) is mentioned and also in his passport.

It is mentioned the letter must be signed by parent(s) and the application may be delayed or refused, if the consent letter is not provided.

I'm in the UK now. Do I need to write a consent letter, sign and post it India for my wife to sign it?

Please advise.

Thanks,

Thanks for your reply.

While uploading the consent letter online, is it enough, only with my signature or does it have to be signed by both the parents?

Sorry I should have been more clearer in my earlier message.

Thanks

Appendix FM Child - Where to include main applicant reference number

Post by sk13aaa » Sun Dec 26, 2021 8:30 pm

Hello everyone,

I'm a British Citizen by Naturalisation.

I have submitted Appendix FM Partner application today for my wife (to join me from India) but yet to book a VFS appointment.

I submitted a separate Appendix FM Child application for my son, to join me along with wife. While submitting the application, I selected the 3rd option as shown below and provided my wife details as the 3rd party declaration.
  • I am the applicant aged 18 or over

I am the applicant aged under 18

I am the parent or legal guardian of the applicant who is aged under 18 and completing and submitting the form on their behalf

I am submitting the form on behalf of the applicant
When I tried to pay IHS surcharge, the system return a Reference number but said "" Exempt based on lead applicant being 18 or under and applying under visa Route: Settlement - Child or dependant of settled". Is this correct?

Also, there is no option to include my wife (main applicant) reference number in my son's application form. I thought I will be allowed after the payment (visa fees) but there is no provision.

Not sure if I have filled in the correct form.

Please advise.

Some documents are not clear cut on category. Ensure all required documents are uploaded, that's what matters and not under what category it'd uploaded.
