extension or long residence

Hello everyone,

As am preparing my documents for my spouse visa extension coming soon, a frined suggested to apply for long residence insted of my extension and I do not know if it worth a shot, if you can kindly advice if it would be feasible to do so.

Time spent:
- Short-term study visa (1 year)
- Short-term study visa (1 year)
- Tier 4 (1.6 year)
- Returned home 2 months
- Tourist visa (5 months)
- Tier 4 (4.4 years)
- Spouse visa (2.5 years)

This accmoulates 10+ years with only 2 months break after my tier 4 expired, hope you can help me.

Thank you so much for your prompt response, they all were out the country application except the spouse visa.

My first Tier 4 expired on 03-02-2014 and left the UK on the 02-02-2014, remaind in my country for about 2 months and returned to the UK on 05-04-2014 on a tourist visa to finalise papers and interviews for further study. Having secured my place I returend to my country 25-08-2014 and applied for my second Tier 4 immidiatly and returned to the UK on 10-09-2014.

Any idea please? Should I work towards the life in the UK test and apply, please let me know
