Original docs to take/submit to Biometric Appointment

Post by beenxnz » Sat Jan 29, 2022 2:31 pm

Hi,

I have completed my Naturalisation application under the spouse of a British citizen route. Questions on the biometric appointment that follows:

1. Do I need to submit my original BRP at the biometric appointment?
I read something on the UKVAS website on how BRP will be returned by post after 5 days and wanted to confirm if it will be submitted or I only need to take it along as proof considering I plan on travelling right after the appointment.

2. Do I need to take my husband's original passport along?
He may be out of country at the time of the appointment. Is the original document mandatory or will a copy of his entire passport/ all pages suffice?

Thanks!

No!

You have misread or misunderstood. Your ILR BRP is returned to UKVI within 5 days AFTER your ceremony once you become British.
or I only need to take it along as proof considering I plan on travelling right after the appointment.
Yes.

Supporting documents are uploaded digitally. Only YOUR passport and BRP original needs to be taken to your appointment as you are the applicant.

Music to my ears. Thanks!

Do I need to upload every page of my husband's passport or just the cover one would be enough?

Biometric page only should be fine, assuming he is British.
