Registering children born abroad to non British parents with a standalone application

Post by tugrulguclu » Sun Feb 06, 2022 4:24 pm

Hi everyone

I got my citisenship Sept/2021 and today applied for my wife`s naturalisation .

We did not add our child to my wifes naturalisation application as 2 application together would be expensive.

He`s born abroad in 2016 and was granted ILR in Feb/2020 and has been living in UK since his birth.

We want to apply for him towards summer but when I looked up I could not see a link for a standalone application link to register him. It looks like we have to go through ILR route when it is time to apply for him which is more expensive. I wonder if we made a mistake with not adding him to wife`s application as additional applicant.

Any thoughts ?
Thanks in advance

It's form MN1 for children under 18.

You can't apply for ilr again if the child already holds ILR.
