2. The safer way is you resign after getting the new visa.
3. No. You can combine the 3y from old employer and the other 2y from new employer
4. No. Their visas will be valid until the expiry date.
5. Yes you need to pay for the length stated on new CoS. If the employer is not covering this for you, better ask them to make the length short but long enough to let you apply for ILR in 2 years time.
6. Technically, it should be refunded back to the original payment method. If not received, try complaining to UKVI.
