Mistakes in COS

Post by Storm93 » Tue Feb 15, 2022 9:50 pm

Hi, I really need help in my situation.
I received cos from my employer which is assigned already.
I have found below mistakes in it,

Given name is not appropriately added, last part of the name is missing.
Marked YES on New entrant but i am not new entrant.
Want to change start and end date
want to change : Tick to certify maintenance from NO to YES.
as per the SOC code, I want to add more relevant job duties in sponsor note.

Can I consider all these as minor mistakes and amend in
sponsor note? Or having multiple mistakes make my application at risk? Should I withdraw this and get the new assigned COS? or to call business immigration customer service?

Really need help, i am applying for visa in 1-2 days as running out of deadline.

Thank you

Given name is a bigger issue, the rest can be addressed using sponsor note. Call the helpdesk to ask if given name can be changed by adding sponsor note.

There is no such limit. Call them to ask about the given name.

Hi @ywlgy,

I've contacted help desk, they didn't helped or advices, they said that please check gov.uk website and check guide 8a. that's it.

I need to take decision on my own, I have got two options

1) Withdraw the COS and Create New one.
2) Go with this COS, explaining everything in cover letter.

If I withdraw the cos, will i be able to get the Skill charge refund?

Please advice me on this.

ISC will be refunded but the £199 for CoS won't be.
Both should be paid by the company. So ask the company to re assign one, because it was their mistake at the beginning. hope they still have available CoS allocation for this year

Thank you so much for the response,
Yes, we do have one more cos available,
Do you know that withdrawing existing cos and creating new one make any bad impact on sponsor license or on my visa application? Or anything, I am bit tensed

Creating New COS Now,

I have below confusion,

For example,

My surname and Name is : Smith Bill

But in passport it is given as below:

Surname: Smith
Given name : Bill William

So in passport my father name is also added along with my name.

What should I be adding in COS?

Same as passport ?

Quick help needed.

Thank you

Keep it simple and add name as it appears in the passport.
Char (CR001 not Casa)

Hi,

Yesterday, I submitted my visa application on priority for skilled worker. Is priority services suspended within UK applications as well? or That's only for outside India applications?

Moreover, I've applied through Id check up app. and I found out that if you are applying through using ID check-up app, You won't be able to submit application with your spouse together, You will have to create separate application for that.

Please update me if anyone knows that.

Hello,

My skilled worker visa approved and will be receiving BRP soon, can anyone please advice me on following:

I have tried to apply for skilled worker dependent visa for my partner, but it shows that I can not apply in priority service, I have to go with standard application. Is anyone knows whether it is suspended or it is depend on the case ?

Thank you
