Change of employer

Post by DRaj » Sun Feb 27, 2022 7:12 pm

Hi
I am on a skilled worker visa since Feb 2022. My employer is sponsoring me for next 2 years and they covered 50% of the cost of application and ihs.

I am now looking to change employer and job. So what's the process?

Do I need to make a new visa application and Ihs fee?

Can I serve my 1 month notice after getting a visa via new employer?

For instance, Can I put my start date with new employer as April 1st in visa application, serve my notice period on March 1st, finish employment by March end and start working for new employer from April 1st?

I need to repay the whole cost of application and ihs to the existing employer is i need to resign, does the new employer bears it or how can I negotiate it?

Please advise.

This is between you and the employer and your contact of employment. It is not an immigration matter really.

Hi thanks for the reply.

Following the 3rd answer, do I need to pay the ihs again? I paid for 2 years and already it's a month. So how it is calculated when making a new application?

Thanks

You need to pay IHS again in the same way you did it for the previous application Pay for UK healthcare

The already paid IHS will be refunded pro rata the time remaining in your current leave.

How long would it take for the refund of the ihs amount?
