Eligibility for Naturalisation

Hi,

My wife got her ILR on 27 May 2021 under Tier 2 Dependent visa route.

I had my ILR since Decemeber 2020 , applied Naturalisation in Decemeber 2021 and got my Naturalisation on 25 February 2022.

I did not had citizenship when my wife got ILR.

Can I now apply for her Naturalisation or shall I wait for her to complete one year.

I think you don't need to wait for 1 year .

Your wife can apply now (note it's your wife applying) as you had been a British citizen at the time she gained ILR. No need to wait.

Thanks, so the timing of my naturalisation or the ILR route of my spouse is not relevant so long as I am British citizen at the time when my wife applies naturalisation. Is that correct.
