Thank you very much for your help.

Can you please guide me regarding the document submission?

Do I need the same copies of the documents to present the biometric appointment, which I will upload into the portal, or do I need to take the original with me at the appointment?

Many Thanks
All documents in your checklist should be scanned and upload online into the portal. Your passport and appointment details are the most important docs you need to take with you for your biometric appointment.
If you like, you can take the scanned docs with you, but it's of no relevance if all files are scanned and uploaded properly.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

Thank you very much for your kind help.

One more thing, PLEASE!
My husband works for NHS. I just applied and got an appointment on 4 June 2022.

When do you suggest we can claim a refund from IHS?

What documents are required to apply?

BEST WISHES,

I think pay in full first, including IHS (by submitting and paying for the application) and then expect a refund.

Alternatively, cancel the unpaid and unsubmitted application and start over?

Can you please guide me regarding the document submission? All documents are uploaded online. The mandatory category and the optional category.

If all documents are uploaded correctly, then you don't need them. But for your own peace of mind, you can take them with you.

Many Thanks

Hi Vinny,
Thank you for your reply.
Sorry I made unclear my point.

I have submitted my application online and paid the application fee and IHS. But my biometric appointment is coming on 6 June 2022.

By mistake, I clicked on refund for IHS. But I have not received any IHS refund into my bank.
Do you suggest that I need to present for a biometric on 6 June 22, and if they ask to pay IHS, so I will pay there at the time of the biometric appointment?

Please guide!

Many Thanks

If you had paid and submitted the application and have not withdrawn it, then go to the biometrics appointment and complete the process. Else, your application will be invalid.

I doubt that they would ask you to pay the IHS again if you had already paid it.

Hopefully, your IHS refund request did not trigger a withdrawal of the application. For the avoidance of doubt, perhaps just ask at the biometrics to include a note that you had requested a IHS refund on your understanding that you were exempt from it. It wasn’t because you had withdrawn your application.

Dear Vinny,
Thank you very much for your kind reply.

Does my husband require biometrics against my application, or do I need to go myself only to present for biometrics?

Please confirm.
Many Thanks

Hi There,
I submitted my application on June 6th June 22, and they asked on 24 June 22, to provide English proficiency certification from ECCTIS. I applied 26 JUNE for 48 hours, but ECCTIS could not able to provide me on the time they provided 12th June 2022 English proficiency. So straightaway i sent to case worker and after 1 hour i got an email from ADMIN BELOW

We apologise for the inconvenience, but due to awaiting a new English Certificate, we are not able to meet our usual service standards.

Although we would normally decide your application within eight weeks from the date it was submitted, unfortunately this may not be possible in your case.

If your application was submitted prior to your current grant of leave expiring, your current status within the United Kingdom has been extended by section 3C of the Immigration Act 1971. You do not need to do anything else at this stage and do not need to be concerned about your immigration status.

If you have applied to switch your status in respect of your employment or studies then please refer to the guidance on Gov.UK as you should be permitted to commence work / study prior to your application being decided, should you meet the conditions set out in the guidance.

We apologise for the delay in dealing with your application and for the inconvenience this is causing. Please be assured we will do all we can to make a decision on your case as quickly as possible.

We appreciate your patience at this time

Would you please suggest on this how long is this going far?

Many Thanks
Rose
