Hi there,
Good Afternoon, I hope everyone are good.
I need some advice ,
im on ILR status,  planning to apply for neutralization for British this year,  My wife and son (6 years)is on spouse dependent visa, extension is due this year
Recently i lost my job and i dont have any source of income, suppose i worst scenario if i dont find a better job,
Can i apply for Universal credit and child benefit , my only worry is that  does it gonna effect my neutralization for british and wife and son's extension.

Claiming benefits has NO effect on citizenship applications.

It will however be difficult to extend your dependent visas if you do not meet the financial requirement. You cannot use benefits to meet the financial requirement
