ILR application with BRP expiry

Good evening,
My entry to UK was on the 6th September 2017 and my wife joined me on the 16th October 2017. We have a BRP till 15th of August. I should be able to apply for ILR by 9th of August, but my spouse will have to apply on 18th of September.
I was wondering if I need to apply for another year of dependent visa for her to be in this country before she applies for ILR or is there any other way she could contnue for a month and apply for her ILR?

What was the issue/start date if both your visas? For ilr it counts from visa issue date, not date of entry.

My Visa date was 24/08/2017 and my wife's stamp on 25/09/2017. So, technically it has to be 28 days from the above mentioned date, is that correct?
