UK spouse visa wanting to visit Ireland!

UK spouse visa wanting to visit Ireland!

Hi everyone,
My husband is from Pakistan, and he is living in UK on spouse visa, and we want to visit Ireland. Does he require a visa for Ireland, or can he travel to Ireland on UK spouse visa?

I believe if partner ordinarily needs a visa to visit Ireland then he needs to apply. UK spouse visa is not recognised by countries outside the UK.

He needs a Irish visa to travel to Ireland.
