Your wife needs secure ILR before applying to naturalise as a citizen. When was her first visa issued?

She was issued with tier 2 dependent category which is going to expire in march 2023 but her 5 years in this country as dependent will complete in June 2023 so she is short of 4 months. Reason behind that is she was originally granted 19 month's visa because I was on tier 2 general at that time than I got ilr and she was granted three years extension on her tier 2 general dependent category.
What we do now to cover this gap
I am British citizen now

You haven't answered the question.
What date was her FIRST visa issued, the visa vignette date stamped in her passport abroad?

You apply for an extension before visa expiry using the standard service and delay the biometrics as much as you can. Then if by late May her visa was not granted, she can vary the extension application to ILR

Thanks for the idea when you vary the application do you lose money which you paid for that extension application?
Also do we have to apply for 3 years extension?

It is usually refunded.

Yes. You cannot choose a lesser visa time.

There is no need for bank statements. Also, the Tier 2 General route does not exist anymore as it was replaced by the skilled worker route.
Your dependant must extend under the skilled worker route. See:

You out a date 3 years in the future for the ihs.
You need to select skilled worker visa. Tier 2 general visa doesn't exist anymore.

Yes, a date in 2026to pay for 3 years.
There is no sub category for skilled worker visa when you select it.

CR001 thanks so much wiht your help.
one more question for you I have submitted the application now I have to book a appointment for biometrics at the start of the application they did ask me to use the app because app was not working so I chose the centre appointment I am finding face to face appointment very expensive anyway I can stii use the app ? rather going for face to face appointment ?
also her current brp expiry date is today I am still okay to book biometrics appointment in few weeks time it does not count as delay?
thanks
