Tricky question on dependent ILR application

Post by andy_click01 » Wed Feb 15, 2023 12:05 pm

I moved to UK with my wife and son on 20/02/2018.

While applying for ILR for my wifes application I came accross the following question
Leave granted on or after 11 January 2018

Does the period of stay on which this application was based include any leave granted since 11 January 2018?

Kindly let me know if I should select yes or no.

Thanks,
Anand

It depends on what date the dependent visa was ISSUED. It has nothing to do with the date you moved or entered the UK.

Then the answer to the question is YES. All PBS Dependents are subject to the absence limit of 180 days in any 12 month period if their visas are issued on or after 11th January 2018.

Hello again.

Is there an example or sample letter for the following

Letter(s) from employer(s) detailing reasons for work-related absences including periods of paid annual
leave from the UK and Crown Dependencies

Thanks,
Anand

Okay.

Thanks for the update.
Did not find anything online too. There should be some reference for this somewhere online.

My current company where I have worked for last 4 years have given me a letter but my previous company where I worked for the first year when I moved to UK is taking some time for the letter. Is the letter very important ?

Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Anand

You don't need a letter from the previous employer. Only current one.
