I am currently in the UK, and my British Passport is stuck with an embassy where a visa is being processed. However, I need to make an urgent trip. I can travel out on my Australian passport, but the issue is returning. And I see temporary passports are only when we're abroad.
Is there any official advice or guidance on this? See this: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... tizen_on_a
If you were naturalised or registered as British you could carry your certificate and present this at the UK Border (or perhaps you have a copy of your old passport?).
thanks
Many dual nationals had to do this a few months back when there were long delays and huge backlogs at HMPO. From reports it wasn't an issue at the UK border with officals aware if this.
No, because as an Australian, you do NOT need a pre applied for permission to enter the UK.
