Thanks. That’s a relief.Ameela92 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 05, 2023 11:21 pmHi
My husband was also married previously, however his marriage and divorce were done in Pakistan as he never came to the UK. His ex wife was from the UK. When we submitted our application, we included the divorce certificates that were issued there. Our nikkah was conducted in Pakistan and the certificate also stated him as unmarried, and not divorced. This was fine and spouse visa was issued. If you have all the divorce papers from UK this will be fine. I dont think men are stated as divorced on Nikkah papers in Pakistan, even if divorced they are classed as umarried. Hope this helps.
Thanks for your reply. I have one more confusion regarding what should it say on nikah certificate about my nationality as I am dual national Pakistani and British? As right now on my marriage nikah certificate it only states Pakistani. Should I change it to British or dual national?
You are overthinking completely!! You hold two nationalities, it doesn't matter which one the marriage certificate states!!jdmalick wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 12:07 pmThanks for your reply.
