Can i start working while Waiting for skilled worker visa decision with new sponsor.

Hi, currently I am a permanent employee of x company and the visa is valid till 2025. Recently I got a new offer with y company with sponsorship(Tier 2 skilled worker visa).

I have cos assigned to me by Y company and the visa application is made but am waiting for the decision from gov.uk.

My new company wants me to start working but I havent recieved my decision yet.

Is it OK to start working ? Please let me know if there's any information related to this. Thanks for help in advance.

Are you currently on a skilled worker visa sponsored by company x?

If yes, then no you cannot work for the new employer until you have received your new visa
