PBS Dependant - 3rd Extension

Post by prashanthphp » Sat May 13, 2023 11:39 pm

I arrived in the UK as a PBS dependent in May 2017, and I am now on a Tier 2 Dependent Visa.

My partner, who was previously a Tier 2 Skilled worker, is now a British Citizen. However, in 2018, I had to leave the UK for more than 180 days due to maternity and the birth of our child.

Although I have been in the country for more than five years, I may not be eligible for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) because of my absence in 2018. My current leave is set to expire in August 2023.

I am seeking advice on whether applying for an extension as a Tier 2 dependent is my best option or if there are any other options available to me.

PBS Dependant - Applying for child

Post by prashanthphp » Sat May 13, 2023 11:48 pm

Hello,

I am currently in the process of completing an extension(PBS Child Dependant - 2nd time) application for my child, who was born in India in 2018 and has been living with us in the UK since their return. However, while filling out the application, I came across a peculiar question.

The question is as follows: "Under Travel History (UK), have you been to the UK in the past 10 years?"

I am uncertain how to answer this question as we were previously required to provide all dates of my child's travel outside the UK and the reasons for such travel.

Could you kindly advise me on whether I should choose "yes" or "no" as my response? Thank you.

Skilled worker dependent visa extension for both you and the child. It will be a 3 year extension.

Any other visa route will reset your ILR clock to zero and a new 5 year period before you can apply for ILR.

Simply answer the questions. They are not trick questions.

Make sure you are completing the correct form to apply within the uk and not the form for applying outside the uk.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate for quick reply

Regarding adding my child as a second applicant, I have provided all the correct details, but there is one specific question about her travel history in the UK over the past 10 years. I was previously asked to provide all instances of my child's travel outside of the UK. Now I'm unsure if I should select "No" or provide details of each "remain" grant when answering this question. She was initially granted leave in 2018 and since then she has been in this country.

Thank you very much

If child has not travelled outside of UK since arriving then select "No"

Hello ,
Tier 2 extension for dependent child
I have clarification on Have you travelled to UK in the last 10 years?
Since my family is currently in the UK and applying for the Extension , do we need to say Yes or No .. I am not sure if we need to specify the entry clearance information . I have already entered in the travel history(others) for the visits we did to our home country .

Could you please help with a feedback. thanks
