Husband's ILR - impact to my visa status

Post by goodkarma_fornow » Sun Jul 09, 2023 8:17 pm

Hi all,

Noob here, so apologies if this is a daft question.

My husband got his Tier2 Skilled Worker Visa in August 2018, and meets the 5 year period this year in August to apply for ILR. I was on ICT Long Term Visa when he got his Tier 2 Skilled Worker visa in August 2018 and waited for my ICT to expire in May of 2019. In May 2019 when my ICT expired, I applied to be his dependent which was successful. My question is -
1) When my husband gets his ILR, I will still be on his Tier 2 dependent visa, do I need to re-apply for a different visa type?
2) If my husband changes his job after getting his ILR, does that impact my visa status (his CoS is from his current employer) in any way, or can I continue on the same (dependent) visa till May 2024 and then apply for my ILR?

Thanks in advance.

1. No

2. No change or issue if he changes job.
