What will be granted will be in line with the validity of the mother.samkumsam wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 7:00 amHey , my wife has valid skilled worker visa till December 2026 and she is applying for our infant dependent visa - so can we just apply for his visa till April 2025 ? Or it needs to be same her mother's work end date?
Can someone please help me, as I need to submit the application by monday
Your first post suggests you each have your own individual skilled worker visas.samkumsam wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 7:00 amHey , my wife has valid skilled worker visa till December 2026 and she is applying for our infant dependent visa - so can we just apply for his visa till April 2025 ? Good insight as always.
It is with reference to date of application not appointment.samkumsam wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 1:19 pmThanks a lot for your responses, it is really helpful. Due to fund constraints, rather than me , my wife is applying for baby's dependent.
Do you know, the funds which they mention should be available for 31 Days from the application date or appointment date?
Although there are, perhaps simpler, preferable, alternative rules, they are often ignored!
Yes.
However, it may be safer to complete the process.you lived for at least 6 months in a country where TB screening is not required by the UK, and you’ve been away from that country for no more than 6 months
2. Apply soon, but request a deferred effective start date. All children must see a clinician who’ll decide if they need a chest x-ray. Children under 11 will not normally have a chest x-ray.
You must take your child to an approved clinic and complete a health questionnaire. If the clinician decides your child does not have TB they’ll give you a certificate. Include this certificate with your child’s UK visa application.
I'm in a similar situation. My visa expires in Aug 2024 and my wife's visa expires in Sep 2026, and we have a new baby. If I apply for baby's visa now, we would get validity only until Aug 2024? Is there an exemption for it? Otherwise we might be paying around £1000 for about 8 months. What's the recommended course of action in this situation? I tried to find this information online, but couldn't find it. Could you please point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.
