BRP Card Expiring

Post by immudreams » Tue Jul 18, 2023 10:27 pm

Dear All - My BRP Card is expiring in Sep 2023. I have my holidays planned in August and will be back well before the BRP card expires. Would there be any issue when leaving the country or entering the country due to expiry date of card is too close?

No. You're overthinking this. Enjoy your holiday

Supporting Documents

Post by immudreams » Sun Sep 17, 2023 8:33 pm

Dear All,

I am applying for my ILR BRP Renewal. Below are the documents and what i will be keeping as supporting document. Could i advise if these are correct:

- Evidence to prove your continious residency in the UK since becoming a permanent resident.

I am submitting the council letter since the date of ILr

-Original document showing grant of settlement, such as vignitte, passport or RON 60 Letter
I am submitting my ILR BRP card as proof. Can i submit anything else? Would I need to give the BRP card original and would that mean i would not have a BRP card until i give my new BRP card.

Thanks in advance.

You need more than just this. Having council tax in your name does not prove you have lived in the UK since you were granted ILR. You need things like P60s, bank statements, benefit letters, copies of full passport(s) etc etc.
-Original document showing grant of settlement, such as vignitte, passport or RON 60 Letter

Documents are uploaded digitally, no originals are sent but as your BRP card expires this month or has already expired as stated in your other topic, it is a moot point as you won't have any valid document to prove your status.

BRP renewals can take 6 months.

Many Thanks for your reply. I am keeping the following documents - Could someone advise if its enough:
1. Excel file summarising the entry and exit date from and to UK.
2. Scanned copies of old passport and current passport with all immigration stamps.
3. Council tax letter for all years.
4. Bank statement since 2015. Not able to get a copy before that - Bank has said they do not have details before that even though my bank account is since 2008.

Are there any documents that i can furnish - I do not have P60 for all the years.

Also, I have one more question - The consent form has PART 1, 2 & 3. Do i need to sign all 3 parts as PART 2 and PART 3 are not relevant.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.
