Set(O) - Skilled worked with dependent - How long is the standard visa application taking these days?

Post by Awan2108 » Mon Sep 25, 2023 2:49 pm

Hello,

We applied ILR [Set(O) - Skilled working with 3 dependents - standard] and completed Biometrics on 25th July. Home office SLA for standard Set(O) visa is of 6 months, do you know how long it is taking these days?

I had a look into the timeline thread, unfortunately not much updates on standard application is available there.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, no one here works for the HO. We can only go by the HO SLA as you've rightly stated.

Also we use other people's current experiences (timeline threads) to make assessments like you've done. So basically, no one can tell you exactly what you want to hear.

Each application is unique, so you cannot determine how long an application may take. It will be decided normally within 8 weeks to 6 months, depending on your case and circumstances

Homeoffice request for addition document under - CHI 1.3. of Appendix Skilled Worker of the Immigration Rules

Post by Awan2108 » Fri Nov 24, 2023 11:21 am

Hello,

We applied for ILR and have received following email from Homepoffice asking for more documents. Can you please let me what evidence we can provide?

We have noted that there is no evidence of you not living an independent life and that you are still wholly dependent on your parents.

The request for this information is based on CHI 1.3. of Appendix Skilled Worker of the Immigration Rules.

Please note this is for our son's application, he is 17 now, he is doing his A-levels and lives with us.

Thanks in advance.

I assume that your son is part of the applications you made on 20/07/2023. Send them a letter from the NHS showing he lives at your address, add a cover letter stating that he still lives at home and currently doing his A-levels. Sate that he's fully dependent on you, as he's still a minor.

We were asked to send the documents to worksponsoreddocumentrequests@homeoffice.gov.uk quoting application reference number.

I have sent an email confirming the he is full time student and does not work. I also confirmed that he is fully dependent on us and lives with us. As address proof, I have attached last 6 months of his bank account statement in which we transfer his pocket money.
Hope this should suffice.
