Temporary accomodation

Post by TeeKayTea318 » Tue Nov 28, 2023 9:02 pm

Hi, I have a few questions that I wanna ask, please if anyone have the knowledge of the topic could you help me to answer these:

Basically I have ILR and applying for British citizen this year, long time ago I was given a housing accommodation (1 studio flat) to live in and I been living in this accommodation for the past 7, 8 years. I recently have a new gf, she is living in a temporary accommodation with her children one 4 and one 6. The council of her area just sent her a letter saying they have changed the licence conditions to occupy the temporary accommodation and in that it listed she not allowed to have unauthorised visitors to enter the building anytime for any reason. I wonder what should I do? If I put my name into her accommodation as partner would I allowed to visit and stay over night? Do I have to give back my housing accommodation if I do so? If we put our name together as partner/family etc, do I must live there with her? Can anyone please help?

She should speak to the Council to ask or speak to Citizens Advice.

This has nothing to do with immigration queries, which is the only purpose of the forum.
