Could I hire students?

Hello everyone,

Wish all a belated Happy New Year. One of my New year resolutions is to set up my own business

So hope I'm in the right section of this forum and able to get advise with my queries.
A brief introduction, I'm based in the UK, Birmingham, Midlands to be precise and plan on starting an internet/online business. I have a background in healthcare and would need help in areas such as website designing etc. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

Besides the online ideas, I also plan on starting something more with regards to bricks and mortars
I have noticed several vacant outlets or shops, in and around Birmingham. Which could be easily be rented out and could run some services which are in demand, such retail or cosmetics/saloon. As those employed will most likely be semi-skilled, would it be possible to get those on student visa to work ? How do I go about doing that?

What exctly is the immigration query you have as that is the purpose of the forum, not business ot staff sourcing help.

Sorry if I'm in the wrong forum, apologies. I have got my PR, so don't need a visa
Looking to share information and chat with likeminded individuals.

I could also contribute, through my own experience as an immigrant and my experience of working for 20 years in the healthcare industry

In case you still feel I should move on, I wish this forum all the best and would be grateful if anyone could guide me to the right online forums for
start ups/innovation
employing students , those on visa etc

You can employ whoever you want as long as there is no barrier to do so.
I am assuming you wish to employ migrant students?
You have to check their ability to work through right to work checks.

The check include knowing the number of hours the student/employee is allowed to work as per their visa conditions.
