Hi
When uploading documents on the SOPRA website for a FLR (M) spouse visa extension, do we need to upload copies of the BRP and the passport for the applicant on the website? I thought that the originals will be submitted at the Biometrics appointment.
Just a quick irrelevant question for a relative- when someone has lied on the application form and the HO find out, what are the consequences for the sponsor? It says on many websites that the applicant will get deported to his home country but what about the UK spouse? Will he/she get penalised or get a criminal record because an incorrect declaration has been submitted with the application?

Yes, you upload, no document original/hardcopy is taken.

IMHO Sponsor has lost credibility and any future application connected to them can be subject to extra scrutiny.

What exactly is the lie? If UKVI find out after their extensive checks, it could result in a refusal under the 'false representations' or 'deception' general grounds for refusal. If the sponsor then tries to bring any spouse again, expect heavy scrutiny of any future application.
You should also not ask 'relative' questions in a topic about your own application. It confuses things.

Thank you for your reply.
My spouse went for his biometrics and his BRP and passport pages were scanned there so I don't know why do they ask us to scan when upload documents online.
Also the lady there told my spouse that the application will be processed after his biometrics. I thought it was after the application form had been submitted?
