BRP Return

Post by trevoronitselec » Wed Apr 10, 2024 2:59 pm

My family and I just got our Naturalisation certificates and now would need to return our BRP's.
Can I send all our cut BRP's and details in one envelope?
Thank you.

Yes. Advise to make certified copies before sending them back - if you have children whose citizenship relied on your ILR it has been recommended on this forum not to return them at all.

May I ask what do you mean certified copies? also it was said to send them back immediately in 5 days. Can I get it certified in 5 days?

For children's BRP, do you mean not to return them at all?

My children got their citizenships through (tier2 5 years) ILR + 1yr route. same time as mine. Is that what you mean relied on my ILR?

No, I mean if they were British at birth through you having ILR before they were born.

OPs children were born abroad. It is useful to read previous topics to understand circumstances before offering advice that could causes confusion.

In OPs case, brps all need to be returned.
