I applied for spouse visa early Jan standard service and her application approved on 8th April. She is heavily pregnant and can not travel for the next 6 months. Do i have to apply her visa again after 6 months but actual visa is issued for 2.5 years so i believe after 6 months visa will be valid still if so what do i have to do to get her in the uk. any help is much appreciated

What's the validity of the visa vignette for entry into UK on her passport? This is usually for 3months, it is on entry into UK that the BRP will state full duration of about 33months(BRP is being scrapped to e-visa)

If it is 3months visa vignette that is on her passport, she will have to reapply for a fresh vignette to make the entry journey into UK as a spouse.

Vignette valid 5 July and visa valid till 8th Jan 2027 (33 months)

can i apply for fresh vignette anytime like in 7 months time before 8th Jan 2027 ? i wanted to apply earlier to fall in the 18600 threshold if i can apply for frresh vignette in 7 months period that will be a relief. thanks

Nothing you need to do. She simply travels when ready before the visa expires.

How can she travel after vignette expires ? we don't have brp as she never travelled to the uk. Perhaps need a vignette renew before travel and my question can i apply for new vignette in 7 months or am i missing something thanks

Her visa expires in 2027!!! Travel before that date.

Her visa has been granted for the full duration. She wont get a brp card.

The downside is that her qualifying period for ILR only starts from the date she enters the uk, so she will need 2 extensions in rhe future as she wi have a shortfall, rather than just the one she would have needed.
