Spouse visa extension

Post by dylecck » Sun Jun 09, 2024 10:08 pm

Dear all,

I would like to wish you all a pleasant day.

My husband is receiving Universal Credit assistance. When we met with the Universal Credit representative, we gave my husband's card and card information so that the payments would be made to my husband. After a few months of waiting, the payments were strangely not coming into the account. Then when we went to talk to the officer, they said that they could deposit it into my account as his wife and we gave my debit card and the payments have been made to my account for about 1 year. Since my husband is sponsoring me, we will upload his account statement. I'm wondering, do I need to add my bank statement to show that he received Universal Credit? Universal Credit is not in my name, but because I am his wife, when I go to the Universal Credit page, it says my name as his wife. I was very confused.
Since my husband is on (PIP) benefits, we don't have to show a financial requirement and I am on 5 years route.

The other question is ;

I came to the UK on a fiancé visa and then got married in the UK and got a 2.5-year residence permit with a spouse visa. I'm going to apply for an extension now. What I'm wondering is, after 5 years in the UK, we can apply for permanent residency, but is the time I spend on a fiancé visa included in this? For example, I have been saying UK for 3 years and 4 months. Can I apply for ILR after 1 year and 8 months or do I have to wait for 2.5 years to expire?

Thank you very much in advance for your help

This should not pose an issue for your application.

Your 5years on the spouse route commenced from the day you were granted spouse visa. You require 2 x 2.5years before you are eligible to apply SET M.

Thank you for answering AmazonianX. I just wondering should i download my bank account because “if you have any public fund from the government, it says prove it with your bank documents” and universal credit payment on my bank account. Should I just add the page stating that universal credit is in my husband's name? Because we can’t receive public funds according to our visa, I do not want to complicate the situation. Thank you very much for your help

If being received in his name and only payment made to your account it does not complicate it when checked.
For peace of mind explain in cover letter the arrangement.

IHS payment ( urgent help please )

Post by dylecck » Mon Jun 17, 2024 6:22 pm

Hello,
When I came to the end of my visa application, asked for a IHS reference number. For the first time, I looked at my documents in my spouse visa application, wrote the IHS number there, and no payment was made. I only paid the £1084 application fee. When I searched on the internet, that IHS number was for use. When asked me for the IHS number, I wrote it down. I have an appointment in 2 days, how can I pay or what can I do. Can you please help
Thank you

When I searched on the internet, that IHS number was for use.
What exactly do you mean by this? Did you use a fake or fraudulent IHS number?

No, it isn't the same number each time. Every time you pay, you get a new number.

UKVI will likely write to you to pay it at some point. Your application will be delayed.

The appointment has nothing to do with the IHS. The appointment is ONLY to verify your identity and take your biometrics. It is a third party agency, not UKVI staff or office.

UKVI only start processing your application after you enroll biometrics.
