Please help!

children and wife arrived in Uk - sep 2 2014 and continously staying in UK till today.
childen born in Inda - one in may 2007 may and another in 2014 march
father got ILR on 10 years cont residence in 2020 and British pssport in 2021. All family in uk now
2 children and wife - currently in dependendent visa till 2025 dec

Planning to apply ilr for mother on long reaidence route in aug 8th 2024


1. Scenario 1 : assume mother gets same day ILR.in aug 24 on long residence (sep 2014 to aug 24)

Once her mother receive ILR say in aug 24, can i apply children be mn1//british passport in aug 24 as Mother ILR and father british citizen.

2. Is ILR not required for children as mother and father are british? Note. Kids born in india before their entry to uk


3 : Is ilr mandatory for children before britsh passport as they born in india irrespective of mother ilr or passport or father british passport

4. In december once mother get british passort(3 months for naturalisation after she ilr on aug 24)
Can i apply ilr in aug for children from uk and send india ?

5. Can the application of mn1 can be done from india (as kids will be india on dec 24) when both mother and father are british?

I can't answer all your queries but note the following:

- you don't know how long your wife's naturalisation application will take, so don't make sweeping generalisations or plans around the fact it will only take three months. Mine took 4 and some people take even longer to receive their approval.
- MN1 applications from abroad take a lot longer. Advise children apply when in the UK.

If 6.6 Children who have lived in the UK for more than 10 years
is satisfiable, then registering under Section 3(1) is possible. Do it before their 18th birthday.

Note that under Section 3(1), they also expect the children to be in the UK when registering.

1. Children completed 10 years by Sep 2nd 2014 continuously
2 Mother ILR by Aug 10th 2014 as per long residency (2014 to 2024), father already British passport
3. Children staying since 2014 in UK Sep 2. One child May 2014, another child March 2014 date of birth
4. children born in UK at the time of MN1 registration application.

Question B) is there any condition that i can apply directly MN1 for children only when mother passport and british passport holders in uk? (above 1, 3, 4 condition apply anyway)

Question C) normally naaturalisation takes 3 to 4 months . Can i wait after 2 months after mom apply naturalisation (say oct) and then apply mn1 for children ..by the time mom get passpoet kids also get passport
