Changing from stamp 1g to stamp 2

Post by amakaigwe2001 » Mon Jul 22, 2024 9:52 pm

Please I want to ask if anyone has been able to change from stamp 1g to stamp 2. I did my masters here in 2021 to 2022. I went back to school to study General Nursing. Is it possible to get another stamp 2 since I was on 1G

Possibly, you'll be able to switch to Stamp 2.
But you won't be able to get another 1G, most likely.

4) May, if having previously benefitted from the Third Level Graduate Programme
at a level 8 award or above, on achievement of a higher level award, e.g. level
9 or above, re-enter the Third Level Graduate Programme, subject to the
overall limit of eight years.
5) A graduate will not be permitted to access the Programme on more than two
separate occasions, subject to 4) above.
Which (in my understanding) means you can only get an 1G for the second time once you've done a Level 9/10 after gettin 1G on Level 8.
As Master's is Level 9, it seems like it won't be covered.

It is been 2 months I submitted my letter to change to stamp 2 again to enable me continue studying nursing, but I have not gotten a reply from department of Justice. I was on stamp 1G want to change to stamp 2. I don't know what to do at this point

What do you mean by "submitted your letter"? Did you had a properly tracked letter delivered to DoJ?

If yes, you'll have to wait, I'm afraid. DoJ takes a good while to make a decision (I was waiting for about a year for a decision on their part once, for example, on an unrelated matter).
You can try to switch to Stamp 2 now using online system, as you will lose nothing in case of a refusal, but more than likely they'll want a DoJ letter permitting you to do it.

Yes I submitted a properly detailed letter to department of Justice through a registered post.
