ARD Biometrics appointment

Post by Daffy913 » Sat Aug 17, 2024 7:34 am

Hi everyone.
I just wanted to confirm a few things, the home office has sent me an email to send in a payment slip for the application fee. Once that is taken off my account do I then get the biometrics email? Is that when I have 45 working days to attend the biometrics appointment? I need to leave the country for a month this week due to a family emergency and it's not great timing with the citizenship application, so I just need to make sure that the timeline works out.

What do you mean? Did you not pay when you submitted your application online?

Usually when one applies online that is what happens, and once you pay you get the email. did you apply by post? If that is the case I don't know how it works to book biometrics. In any case you have 45 working days to attend the appointment so as soon as you can you should book the appointment for a date when you are back.

Form ARD application is a paper application. It is not the same as form AN.

Thank you. Yes I submitted it by post. My initial payment slip was for £130. Because I am doing it via historical legislation unfairness and was born in 1987 I have to put in an additional payment of £1481. It's a lot of cash to lose if I can't get biometrics done in time. I should be ok if it is 45 working days so that's what I want to confirm.
