Looks like the survey email came it was actually for ILR application appointment which was just 8 days before my British citizenship application appointment. I dont think it was for my British citizenship 5th July appointment.

Update - email from national biometrics received today 11/04/2024 to say IT issue loss of biometrics has been resolved and now wait another 6 months as per guidelines
I also sent screenshots of confirmations from soteria when my docs had been submitted on 15th March

Another update from me ! Out of the blue almost 11 months of waiting received an invitation to the citizenship ceremony from my council ! No email from Home Atlas yes but I am sure it will come shortly
It has been a long and frustrating wait but what I was impressed with that the HO actually told me about IT issue and also updated me on when it got resolved . Took 4.5 months from that email to receive approval. However it took them 6 months prior to that to actually get it sorted !

Response to my chase up many times after 6th month from MMST: Unfortunately, we are still awaiting the results of mandatory checks which are undertaken on everyone who applies for citizenship.
We will expedite your application on completion of these checks. I am unable to provide a specific time scale for completion at this time.

MMST emailed back on 29th of July: Further to my previous email, I wish to let you know that we have now received all relevant Check results and I have requested that your application be allocated to a Caseworker for consideration.

On August 1st I messaged FNE and received a confirmation that my application is being processed by a case working team.

Still waiting, hopeful and nervous. I've sent multiple emails to FNE the past 2 weeks but not gotten any reply since then.

August 22nd Update: Received an email from Atlast requesting scanned copy of all the pages on my old Nigerian passport which I just scanned and send back to them 5hrs later.

The good thing is now I have an application ref number which I can use to chase them up next week during my weekly emails to FNE

August 25th Update: Received the following email from MMST workflow

I applied at the exact same time as my fiancee, who has received her approval in May. Before submitting the application, I had an immigration lawyer review it and they said it was a very straightforward case: EU citizen wit settled status, in continuous employment with the same company sincs 2018, all tax returns completed and paid in time, haven't been out of the country for more than <30-40 days per year, etc.

I can't imagine what can take so long, but I'll wait for the 6 month deadline to pass before emailing them for an update.

Email from Citizenship Support Aug 29th 6:01pm , indicated the application approved and waiting for ALTAS email. Seems the CS email is more reactive vs. FNE recently.

Quite grateful as the approval chance is quite lean per guildance. Asked TWO discretion with low hope. One as 5 years residence over 800 days absence, using COVID reason. One as 200 days leave in past 1 year, using job nature reason. Worth a try!

Just got an email from Atlas that it will take more than 6 months due to "the nature" of the checks they are running. I can't imagine what special checks they need to run, as my record is as clean as it can be, I never stayed here (or anywhere else) illegally.
