Q: I am Indian Passport holder and my passport has less then 6 months validity, Can I travel with this passport ?
A. For any international travel Passport Must by valid for minimum 6 months, so you can not travel on this passport.
secret.simon wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 12:21 pmYou may want to check with Indian emigration whether they impose any minimum passport validity requirements for leaving India. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs recommends that your passport should have at least six months validity from your planned date of return to India.
And if their passports expire in the UK, apparently their passports may not be renewed by the Indian High Commission in the UK (which only provides the service to Indians resident in the UK - see scroll bar at the top of the page in the link above).
Also, airlines may impose minimum requirements as they will be left transporting the passengers free-of-cost back to India if there is an immigration rejection at the border in the UK. So check with the airline in question too.
