Hello all,
I came to UK in Tier 2 Visa in Aug 2018 but my BRP start date was in July 2018. Last year I applied for my ILR and yesterday completed my 12 months in ILR.
In ILR I have completed 12 months but with my first BRP start date and entry to UK it has like 2 weeks gap. Should I need to wait till my first entry date into UK or Can I start my Naturalisation application?
Thanks

You can start and save the online application for later once your time gap has disappeared. I think it will be deleted after three months of inactivity.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Applications get deleted after 10 weeks of inactivity. You don't need to wait any more if you were in the UK the day 5 years before you submit your application, as you completed 5 years of residence and have completed 12 months on ILR. Date on first BRP and first entry in the UK are irrelevant at this stage.

Thank you for your previous reply.
Few queries regarding the document checklist,
1. Passport => I scanned both current & old passport with all pages & uploaded. Is it correct?
2. Proof of living in UK => Attached the passport copy & Income Tax history from HMRC
3. ECCTIS letter to confirm qualification => Attached the NARIC for statement of comparability & Medium of instruction - is it okay?
4. Transcript letter => College transcript letter mentioning medium of instruction as English & Medium of Instruction letter from NARIC - is it okay?
5. Optional - anything else I need to submit
Please advise.
Thanks

Yes
2. Proof of living in UK => Attached the passport copy & Income Tax history from HMRC
If you passport gets stamped no need for income tax history from HMRC.
3. ECCTIS letter to confirm qualification => Attached the NARIC for statement of comparability & Medium of instruction - is it okay?
Did you get a degree taught in English? If so, yes
4. Transcript letter => College transcript letter mentioning medium of instruction as English & Medium of Instruction letter from NARIC - is it okay?
Not needed, the above qualifies you for the English requirement
5. Optional - anything else I need to submit
This is up to your circumstances.
Please advise.
Thanks

Thank you.
Last question for two referees one person is Engineer and other person is Housekeeping in NHS but both are British passport holders. Is it okay?

One of them needs to belong to a chartered body.

yes one of them is an Engineer in UKs biggest Automobile company. Is it okay?
If this is not sufficient will they ask for another reference or shall I add in optional document for another reference. Because I already submitted and tomorrow is my Biometric.

The engineer is fine as presumably a mechanical engineer and would need to be registered with the relevant regulatory body.

It should be OK, but quickly double check if they are a member of a chartered body.

I am not sure how to check this.
But he came in Tier2 skilled VISA, finished his ILR & became British citizen 3 years before. Like software Engineer he is a Design Engineer working full time in biggest car marker in UK.

You need to ask him. His immigration path has nothing to do with the fact he is chartered or not.

Wikipedia says for Chartered Professional as -- Chartered status is generally considered a terminal qualification in a particular profession, in some fields professional bodies also offer lower level qualifications, such as Incorporated Engineer (IEng), Engineering Technician (EngTech) or Registered Scientist (RSci).
At very worst case if it doesn't meet the requirement will they ask for another referee or will they reject.

It's probably best you look for someone else who qualifies as referee - recommend you avoid any "loose ends" which could delay the application, rather than hoping for the best.

You can just quickly text your referee and ask directly, at least you will be prepared, rather than relying on hypothesis.
