Final FLR(M) is longer than 2.5 years?

Good Morning All,

I have a question related to the FLR(M) 10 year route please.

I am a British Citizen and my wife is from Ghana. We moved to the UK in November 2016 and the original visa and extensions have been as follows:

- November 2016 (0 years)
- May 2019 (2.5 years)
- November 2021 (5 years)
- May 2024 (7.5 years)

We have received the extension, which I would have expected to take us until November 2026, but instead, the expiry date on the eVisa (since they are getting rid of the cards), shows 23rd January 2027.

My question is, do we go off the date on the eVisa, or should we go for ILR in November 2026, since this is actually 10 years?

Her qualifying period for ILR started when she initially entered the UK as a spouse. She may apply for ILR within 28 days prior to completing a continuous appropriate qualifying period and before her leave expires.

Thank you for your response. Just to be clear, we can apply from October 2026 since she arrived in November 2016 and up to January 2027 based on the date supplied on the eVisa?

Sorry if I am being stupid, we have been on this journey for so long that I don't want anything to cause an issue!
