How to apply for ILR dependent extension

Main applicant received ILR in Sep 2024, the dependents already completed 4.4 years, now need to extend their dependent visa for 8 months before they become eligibile for ILR.

Yeah I googled but was confused whether to select PBD dependent or family visa .
I understood now that I have to apply for dependents has PBS dependent visa, is that right?

In the application they are asking the CoS details? is it required still to enter the CoS details while applying as the ILR dependent?

It's a skilled worker dependents extension, the same visa type the dependents have had since they arrived in the UK, it doesn't matter the lead applicant has ILR.

Details of the last leave the lead applicant had before ILR are required: CoS details, etc. Note that when paying IHS the dates have to be three years in the future to pay the appropriate fee.

The family visa is a different route. ILR dependant is not a visa type, it doesn't exist.

Need urgent advise on the below:
When I tried to submit the dependent partner extension visa application the application fees comes up £1636 ( more than three years) instead of £827 ( less than 3 years) while I have made the IHS fees only for 3 years.
I tried calling UKVI several times, they said if it is excess paid they will refund after 28 days.


The problem is main applicant have ILR and the dependents need 8 months to become eligible for ILR. In the application there is an option we can enter the visa end date manually( as the main applicant no more have visa end date) as one year , two year , and so on but we need to mandatorily provide 3 years for extension, isn't it? So I provided date 3 years for visa extension. It is asking for CoS details ( added but expires in Jan 2025) .So I am not sure how the system is calculating the application fees. As this screen appears only after IHS payment. I have no option to make edits after that. can I try to make it for one year extension for my dependents (instead of 3 years) and make a new application? ( I am not sure how it will calculate the application date).
Quite confusing and frustuating process.

the fee seems to be based on the CoS duration of more than 3 years.

How are you putting the dates into the application to indicate 3 years? Are you doing 1st January 2025 to 1st January for 2028 for example? That would be more than 3 years.

No you cannot. Your dependents will get a 3 year extension and that is what you have to pay for. You cannot choose to pay for less time.
