Tax adjustment

Post by mmicky5050 » Sat Jun 22, 2024 5:28 pm

Hi
I am due for my ILR next May 2025
I am employed by an NHS trust that made an error a year ago and paid me tax refund by mistake. I picked the mistake on my HMRC app a year down the line, contacted HMRC and set up a monthly plan that will finish paying up the tax difference just after my ILR application next year.

Will this have any impact on my IlR application? Should I just pay it off before I apply for ILR?
Thanks much in advance 😊

As you have a repayment plan in place and which I presume you are keeping to, it will nit impact your application negatively hence IMHO if it will affect other things there is no need to rush to pay it off before applying.

This has no relevance to your ILR

When can I Apply?

Post by mmicky5050 » Wed Dec 11, 2024 12:40 pm

Hi,

My immigration history dates are as follows:

First FLFM: from 08-04-2020 valid till 08-10-2022

Second flrm extension valid from 20-10-2022 till 15-05-2025

My 5 years should technically be on 08/04/2025. Can I apply for ILR from 11/03/2025? Or do I calculate the 28 days from the expiration of the 2nd FLRM validity date, ie, 17-04-2025?

Thank you so much

It is within 28 days before the 5th anniversary of your first firm m visa start date.

The latest you can apply is the date your second flrm m visa expires.
