Immigration Status for Child born in UK

Post by klownking » Mon Dec 16, 2024 9:59 am

Hi all,

If the mother is on a work permit and the husband is a dependent, and a child is born in the UK, how can the child be added as a dependent under the mother? What visa type or route would apply in this case?

Thanks.

Presumably you mean a Skilled Worker visa.

Child applies for a Skilled Worker dependent visa and the visa fee and IHS is payable.

Yes, I meant the Skilled Worker Visa. Thank you for being so helpful. IHS is a pain TBH.

When does the main skilled visa holder qualify for ILR?

It's about in 2 years she'll be eligible for the ILR.
