English requirements- Naric/Ecctis

Post by mat30mat » Sat Dec 07, 2024 9:38 am

Hello everyone me and my missus are now applying for British citizenship, we got ILR as Tier 2 dependant and Tier2 Visa holder respectively.

I have a English B1 test from Trinity college and my missus submitted her IELTS test at the time of applying for ILR.

One of the Q in the citizenship application threw us off asking if our degree/education was imparted in English.
Our medium was English but we don't have anything to prove it. Do we need to do a English equivalency from Naric or would our B1 test and IELTS suffice, thanks in advance. :)

If you both have English tests then those are sufficient.
The fact that you have degrees is not relevant in your case.

COE to the right to abode

Post by mat30mat » Fri Dec 27, 2024 11:20 pm

Hi everyone hold ILR & filling my BC application. I do not fully understand the concept of Right to Abode, how do I apply for COE

I have searched this forum but still confused. Also ill be grateful if someone could confirm answers for below

You also need to provide one of the following:

1. evidence of Indefinite Leave to Remain
Answer BRP
2. a certificate of entitlement to the right to abode
Answer ????
3. evidence of settled status (also known as ‘indefinite leave to remain under the EU Settlement Scheme’)
Answer again BRP.

As always many thanks in advance

Why do you think you are eligible for one?

You also need to provide one of the following:
You don't need all of them, you need one. You have your ILR BRP, that's it.
Not a qualified immigration adviser. Use links and references given to gain confirmation and/or extra information.

Are you applying for British citizenship or Right to Abode?

Read the question again. It clearly says you only need ONE of the 3 options. If you have an ILR BRP, that is ALL you need!!
