Best Route for Settlement

Post by challenge2707 » Sun Dec 29, 2024 1:10 pm

I have a scenario where I have an option of switching to below 2 visa's
1) Spouse has Skilled Worker Visa which is Valid for 20 months; switch myself and my children to skilled worker dependent
2) I have 2 children who completed 7 years 7 months in UK who are not born in UK; as children completed 7 years continuous residency can one apply private life visa for children and move to FLR FP as a parent of children while my spouse on Skilled worker visa

What visa do your children have, arw they your dependent visa holders?

Do you realise the private life applications currently can take up to 12 months? There is also no guarantee the children will get this visa. No guarantee you will either especially if your spouse has a Skilled Worker visa.

if we move to skilled worker dependent I am short of 3 months for ILR in long residency 10 years route by the time my spouse eligible for ILR just to avoid multiple applications hence exploring an option of child route. applying private life for children and myself family life as parent on basis of children so that if any need arises spouse can also join this route
