eVisa vs. UKVI account && FLR-M vs. ILR

Post by fata1970 » Mon Dec 02, 2024 11:48 am

Hi,
Can someone please explain to me the differences:

I had FLR-M from 20022
Back in May, I got invitation to create UKVI account. I created UKVI account with email address and mobile number. All OK. I used my BRP and MRZ scanning was OK.

When I login to my my UKVI account, I don't see anything, just my name and address and phone number.

When I click on "prove your immigration status to create a share code" that when I see my status. IS this the eVisa?

Furthermore, I got ILR. The email approval says you need to create UKVI visa. I assume that is for ones who don't have already. I can re-use my existing account, is this correct?

When I click on "prove you immigration status" now, I still use the BRP to login, and I see "settled", but it is that same old picture.

Can I continue to use the BRP number to login? or should I add a passport? The BRP is technically not valid as it was for FLR and now I have ILR. Please advise

You see settled on the eVisa account, that is correct as you have ILR. This seems to be correct according to your history. What picture are you referring to?

The picture that comes up when I login either on the UKVI account or "prove your status". It is the picture I took the day I created the account. I expected the picture to change when I applied for ILR.

I am currently only signing in to eVisa and UKVI account using the BRP as identity document. Do I need to add the passport? The BRP is technically invalid as it was issued for FLR, and is schedule to expire 31/12/2024.

I would link your passport too. It doesn't matter if the picture (of you) it shows is from when you applied for leave previously. As long as it is a picture of you that is still a fair representation of how you look and the status is correct no need to fret.

At what point does the eVisa stop working: after HO approves the application or after taking oath?
