Kids born in uk registration

hi all,

parents going for 10 year ilr routes and currently on t2 visa. have few questions for the kids born in uk.

1. Does kids automatically qualify to register for birtish citizen when parents have ilr?
2. What is the timeline for that application for the kids registration process pls ? Is there any super priority ?
3. can kids travel outside the country during the application is in process ?

Thanks for the response .. yes kids are on dependent visa ... but once we move to ilr if that dependent visa is still valid ?

ILR is used for travel, just like a dependent's visa.

Your children's dependent visa should still be valid once parents obtain ILR. Though if it expires while waiting for their registration approval you will need to arrange for private health insurance for them and they won't be able to travel.

You apply on form MN1 to register them as British, attend a biometric appointment and then wait. It can take anywhere between a couple of months and 6 months (sometimes longer) to get the approval and registration certificate.

Once you have the certificate, you can apply for a 1 week fast track British passport.

Thanks just to confirm the kids visa are till 2026 and will be allowed to travel outside while registration is in process as the visa is valid..

am i correct ?

Yes that is correct. Once they have their registration certificate they need to obtain a British passport in order to travel (takes up to 3 weeks and can be fast tracked for children).

But that page is not being shown at all and i reached at the refree sections now...

also for refree ,

1. have added a friend over 25. so that is fine.
2. profesional referee - have a friend who is civil servant .. will that work pls ?

Just explain in a cover letter and provide them there if you have it. The referees you indicated seem ok to me.

for refree: the document mentions --- Two referee declarations for Mr..
now the referee declaration form https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... on_MN1.pdf
mentions this:
Where the applicant is a child applying, one referee should be a professional who
has engaged with the child in a professional capacity, such as a teacher, health
visitor, social worker or minister of religion.

1. So if my friend who is civil servant (and our kids are in same school) will be valid ?
2. Does this document needs to be printed and scanned to be added pls ?

Can you not get one of the professionals listed to assist?
2. Once the forms have been completed, photo attached and signed they are scanned and uploaded with the other documents.

Nope the civil servant doesn't work at school, tried for listed ones and the issue is not ready to share personal information...

Write in a cover note that you couldn't find a professional involved with your children, it's a common issue. Say you know the civil servant as a family friend.

1. the referee forms print out/sign /scan upload..
- do we have to right name and dob behind the photo to be stick on these forms ? or a digital photo is fine ?

2. cover letter to explain for 2nd referee
3. consent letter print scan upload.

Got the ilr today and submitting the form.
Only question is, how should I prove the settlement..
As do nt have brp or letter..

Does the print out of e visa will do along with shared code pls?
