Hello,
I'm looking for some advice regarding applying for UK tourist visa for my parents from the US, especially around documents required. Unfortunately they were refused a tourist visa back in 2015 (when they weren't US residents) so we're trying to ensure we have everything covered this time.
My parents are planning to visit me here in the UK (I am a naturalised British citizen). Their US situation is as follows:
They hold US green card (not US citizens yet)
They jointly own their house
They're in full-time employment
They will be staying in our home for the duration of their visit. Would the following be a comprehensive list of supporting documents given their situations?
Current and previous passports
Last 6 months bank statements
Last 6 months payslips
Letter from employer confirming employment
House deed to prove ownership
Invitation letter from myself
What is normally included in the invitation letter? Our home is in my husband's name. Do we need to jointly write the invitation letter, or is it just myself (their daughter) who needs to write it?
As they're staying with us, we are going to be responsible for food, taking them out, etc. Do we need to provide any extra proof like our bank statements, or mention that in the letter? They're paying for their trip, but obviously not food or getting around as they're staying with us.
Thanks
