Mistake on skilled worker visa

Post by tno » Sat Jan 11, 2025 1:02 pm

Hi,

I've submitted a skilled worker visa application and paid the fee and submitted biometric via app. But I've realised I've made a mistake, I can't amend the application and I have selected super priority, what should I do??

1. What is the mistake you believe you made?

2. When did you apply and submit?

3. When did you do biometrics via the app?

You cannot amend an application once submitted anyway, regardless of what service you chose or whether biomtrics are enrolled.

Super priority service is also not a guaranteed service.

1.The question asking who's going to provide financial maintentance I chose employer instead of myself. I just got confused.

2. I applied and submitted this morning.

3. I also did this, this morning.

I don't know what to do, I want to rectify the mistake, but I'm scared I'm not going to have enough time and it will get rejected, or even accepted and revoked. I'm quite worried.

Is this a visa extension or are you switching to skilled worker visa from another visa category?

I'm switching from student to skilled worker. It was for a 3 year skilled worker visa.

Please any advice for this? Tomorrow's Monday and I'm just so stressed. Should I withdraw the application? And if I do, do I lose the application fee I paid or health surcharge fee?

"An applicant will automatically meet the financial requirement when they are applying for permission to stay in the UK, having been in the UK for at least 12 months with permission on the date of application. See the financial requirement guidance for details on how to consider this."

E.g. if you have been in the UK more then a year it probably won't matter.

I've been in the UK for over 12 months, 16 months actually.

I wrote a letter explaining the mistake and attached it to the application. I hope that will be ok.
