Skilled worker visa to dependent

Post by kkdi1982 » Mon Jan 20, 2025 5:20 pm

Similar situation for me but for ILR calculation. I came during Jul 2023 on a Skilled worker -Tier2 visa and my wife, child on my dependents. If my wife get a sponsored Tier2 visa now and i plan to become dependent then does this means ILR clock starts from beginning for all ?

1. Do not tag your questions onto topics not related to your query.

2. If your wife switches to main visa holder and you switch to deodnent, both your ilr clocks for 5 year ilr reset to zero and start again. You cannot combine main visa holder time and dependent visa time to make up 5 years for ilr.
