Hello guys, long time lurker here. I've finally reached the point where I can apply for citizenship by naturalization (EU member).
I did it today, but I'm still unsure about the 50 points for the proof of residence for 2020/2021. I came to Ireland in June 2019. Because of the housing situation and whatnot, I ended up renting in places that were subletting, so no house contract and no bills.
I've managed to snatch a bill contract with Eir in 2020, but I could only save a single bill (December 2020) before they closed and deleted my account, after I left them.
2021 has only electricity/gas bills starting October, when I could finally rent in a ''legal'' place and took care of paying the electricity in the house. Everything has been great onwards. I have everything in place.
I spoke with my solicitor in Dublin today, and she gave the affidavit form and told me to fill it and explain this that I wrote, then send it along with the rest. Mind you, I have bank statements and employment details summary for each year, so this is only a case of bills.
The pandemic in 2020/2021 also played a roll in my economy, so topping up the phone when I really needed seemed better than being attached to a monthly phone bill.
I'm just nervous that they'll ask me for extra proof, which I don't have. What do you think?
