Update Employer Skilled Worker Visa (Dependents Form)

Post by drijess13 » Sat Mar 08, 2025 11:51 am

Hello everyone,
Hope you're all okay.

So my partner recently updated his skilled worker visa since he had to change employer. Me/my daughter being dependents are applying to update our visa's as well.

But I cannot seem to find where should we apply?

Under "Skilled Worker Visa" > "Update your visa if you change job or employer" webpage there's no link to apply for dependents.

Wonder if we'll have to apply under "Your partner and children" > "Apply from inside the UK (extend or switch their visa)" > "apply online as your partner inside the UK" and
"apply online as your child inside the UK"?

Any suggestion would be helpful. Many thanks

When does your current visa expire?

You will simply be applying for a Skilled worker Dependent visa extension. You are not 'updating' your visa based on the new sponsoring employer. It is just a normal extension, based on your spouse's visa.

I've actually applied via "Your Partner and child" since i thought its a new application and not an extension to previous visa. Is this not correct?

Re: PBS, Start-up, Innovator or Global Talent dependant child - Consent Form

Hello Moderators and members,

So I'm applying for my Daughters dependent visa and it states "Further actions you must complete" > "Mandatory actions" and has given us consent forms to sign:

1) Has part1,2,3 , part1 to be completed by toddler applicant?

2) "I _________________________________ (name of father) consent to this application for the registration of ____________________________ (name of child) as a British citizen."

Don't think these forms are relevant to our application.

Can I use https://www.immigrationboards.com/templ ... 26662.html instead?

Any suggestion would be helpful. Many thanks!
