family visa for dependent child over 18

Post by Chathuchatty » Thu Mar 13, 2025 10:33 am

Hi, I have a daughter who is aged 27 and studying abroad. Me and my partner is settled in UK (with ILR) and would like to apply for family visa for our son. He is on a visiting visa at the moment but he had had dependent visa earlier, but had to discontinue and change to vising visa. she is still not started her own family nd financially dependent on us as she is in full time education in Italy. Can we apply for family visa so that he can come and stay with us. Is it better to wait until she finishes her course and then apply for family visa as a dependent child after her education complete or is it good to apply now as she is in her final years of study and has 1 more left to complete. I believe we will be getting family visa for 2.5 years for her? also is there any financials to be shown by us as she is going to stay with us here and would be trying to apply for Bar training courses to eventually become a barristor here. Could you please help us with this query as we are really worried about her joining us after studies, since she has been away from home for a loong time and want to come back and join us asap. :(
