ILR Dependents visa for my partner and children - Apply from outside the UK

Post by mishra54 » Mon Mar 17, 2025 10:52 pm

Hi

I have got my ILR and my partner and son (age 17 plus) want to re-apply the dependent visa from India. Because of emergency they are not able to renew their VISA as they were in India and the dependent VISA expired.

Please let me know the below questions as its coming while applying newly dependent visa using Skilled Worker Dependents visa for my partner and children - Apply from outside the UK

Steps - My current UK immigration status - Choose the route that MY VISA has applied for or been granted, even if their application is still being processed.

the below are the options
Do you have one of these reference numbers for my case (ILR received2 month ago)?
- Yes UAN (This option not asked for Child)
- Yes I have their Home office reference number
- Yes I have their VAF number
- Yes I have their GWF number

Do I already have their Skilled Worker visa immigration permission? (Yes/No), Visa end date (Yes/No) as I got my ILR and which date to put for start and end date (The work end date must be today or in the future)

Please help me to clarify how to apply dependent VISA as they are now in India.
Please send me the UK VISA URL details and the key points for filling up the Skilled Worker Dependents visa for my partner and children - Apply from outside the UK

When did their visas expire?

How old exactly is your son?

Unfortunately, you cannot now extend their skilled worker dependent visas. And extension is for within rhe uk when the applicant still has a valid visa. From.outside yhe uk, as you have ILR and they have no visa, the skilled worker depednent visa ko longer applies.

Your only option now is the spouse and child settlement visas and you need to meet the financial requirements and your spouse needs to meet the English requirements.

Note that your son won't qualify for this visa once he turns 18. Plan accordingly and quickly.

Hi
I have applied my child family visa. I am having a clarification in application form.
IHS fees shown as zero.
I am surprised why the IHS fees shown as zero. have i done anything wrong while filling the form so the ihs fees shows as zero (Note i select no in the Fee waiver)

it will be helpful if you clarify.

type of visa/application - Apply to enter the UK as the child dependant of a parent who is applying for (or already has) permission to be in the UK as partner

Note: I have applied parallelly for my Wife also visa type - Apply to enter UK as a partner

Hi Team,
I am using the below UK application URL for applying my WIFE and SON's VISA from INDIA.
As mentioned, I am working in UK and got the ILR.

Family visas: apply, extend or switch

For Wife - https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/partner-spouse (In this link using visa type as Appendix Appendix FM Partner)
For child - https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/child (In this link using visa type as Appendix FM Child)

Please let me know if these options are correct or not.

Please let me know if these URLs are correct/valid or not for my use case?
Also while filling Appendix FM Child, IHS fees shown as zero for me. Hope this is fine as per my case.

Historically for kids under appendix fm the IHS fee wasn't charged during application. What happened is that they identify it as a requirement later and then get email asking you to pay later and giving about a week or so to pay.

As such won't worry about it being shown as zero but do need to budget for the payment request coming later in the process.
