IHS refund incase of early departure

Hello,

We paid Visa+IHS costs out of pocket for my wife and 3 kids back in July 2024 for a 3 year Skilled Worker Dependant, Tier 2 visa.

The cost was

3105 GBP for spouse
6984 GBP for child

We are preparing for a worst case scenario in the event we have to leave the country since our sponsor has ceased to exist and in administration right now and the job market looks uncertain for the next 3-7 months.

Is there a provision for people like me to reclaim IHS costs for the remaining two years since we won't be in the country and will not be coming back.

You likely will not get a refund. You received a visa for the duration you have paid. You choosing to leave is your choice.

When you will not get a refund
You will not get a refund if:

you withdraw your visa application after your visa is granted
your visa application is successful but you do not come to the UK
you leave the UK before your visa ends, for example to make a new application
you’re told to leave the UK before your visa expires
you’re applying for indefinite leave to remain
you’re switching to another visa which is exempt from the IHS
